Children Interned & Abused by U.S. Military?

According to This Modern World, Iraqi children have been abused by the U.S. military. Read the article carefully. Why is this being reported around the globe and NOT in the U.S.? Our media has failed us miserably. The move to war should have been questioned, relentlessly, by the media. Once the war started, the actions of our military should have been under the media's magnifying glass and should continue to be so. Instead, we had "embed" reporters zipping around Iraq along with the troops. I hope everyone realizes that reports from embed reporters had to be authorized by a commanding officer. It seems to me that the U.S. media no longer performs a "watchdog" function for the citizenry. Today's media is all about spectacle and entertainment.
